OK, let’s keep it reasonably brief-
I’m 23, British (yep, there are a few of us – I was born here and everything!) and currently living in Hackney (Northeast London) with my brother, twin sister and sister’s boyfriend…one big happy family…most of the time…
I’ve been living and working in London for a year after graduating from Sheffield University last year. I think London’s brilliant, particularly for it’s diversity. This is especially noticeable as I come from Stratford-upon-Avon, which is about as white and middle class as you can get in England (though it is a very pretty town)!
I like any music you can dance to, clubbing, random road trips to nowhere it particular, travelling and trying new things. In terms of politics, I’m really interested in Latin America and Africa.
I spent 5 months living in Spain and 5 months in Cuba during my 3rd year at uni which was an amazing experience. Have to say i came away from Cuba probably even more confused about the place than when I arrived – but i think that’s what makes it so fascinating - it’s just a massive bundle of contradictions. Don’t ask me about it when I’ve had a few drinks- you’ll never get away! As for Spain… I think I may have been meant to be Spanish. I love chorizo, have a natural affiliation with the siesta culture and have always found Spanish people to be the most hospitable people you’ll ever meet.
